Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Nuclear Directories (“we”). By creating an account, claiming a business, subscribing to a paid plan, or submitting a contact-form message, you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or claim a business. By using the service you confirm that any information you submit is accurate and that you have authority to act for any business you represent.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your password secret; notify us at security@nucleardirectories.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
We support two account types: consumer (visit, save, review) and business owner (claim and manage listings). They are not interchangeable; one email address belongs to one account type.
3. Listings & claims
Listings populate from public business data plus owner-supplied content. To claim a listing you must verify ownership through email, document upload, or live review. We may refuse, demote, or remove claims that fail verification. Claim approval is at our discretion; rejections come with a reason and a path to appeal.
Once claimed, you may edit your listing within the constraints of Acceptable use. We reserve the right to remove content that violates those rules.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans bill monthly via Stripe. Cancellation is allowed at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period and we do not pro-rate refunds.
Per-lead overage charges apply per qualified lead beyond your free monthly pool. “Qualified” is defined in Lead definition. Refund and dispute mechanics live in Refund policy.
Pricing as published in PRICING.md is binding. Changes take effect on the next renewal date and we email every active subscriber at least 30 days in advance.
5. Lead capture
When a visitor sends a contact-form message to your business, you receive their name, email, phone, and message. You agree to use this information solely to respond to their inquiry. You may not add them to unrelated marketing lists or share their contact details with third parties without explicit consent.
6. AI chat (Advanced tier)
When enabled, the AI concierge speaks for your business to visitors. You configure its system prompt via the intake form; the model’s output is your responsibility. Configure honestly: factual claims must be backed up offline, and the chat may not claim licenses or certifications you don’t hold.
7. Reviews
Reviews from visitors are not edited by us. Owners get a right-of-reply on each review on their own listing. We remove reviews that violate Acceptable use; we do not remove reviews because the business prefers them removed.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose risk to other users. On termination, your subscriptions end, your listings drop to unclaimed, and your data follows the deletion mechanics in Privacy.
9. Limitation of liability
We provide the service as-is without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Nuclear Marmalade LLC is incorporated. Disputes first go to good-faith mediation; unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration in the same state.
11. Changes
When we materially change these terms, we email every signed-in user with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
