Acceptable use
Last updated April 29, 2026
Nuclear Directories is a business directory built for the generative-search era. The rules below keep the directory accurate and the experience honest. Repeat or material violations result in listing demotion to Free tier, suspension, or removal.
Listing content
On a listing you own, you can post: business descriptions, hours, photos of your premises and products, FAQs, services, contact info, and verifiable identifiers (veteran-owned, woman-owned, ADA-accessible, etc.).
You may not post:
- Content you don’t have rights to (stolen photos, trademarked logos, etc.).
- Knowingly false claims about services, certifications, prices, or hours.
- Unverifiable identifier badges (we audit these — see verification ladder).
- Hate speech, harassment, or content targeting protected groups.
- Anything illegal under federal or state law of the listing’s state.
- Adult content, weapons sales, or controlled-substance sales outside their specifically licensed contexts.
- Phone numbers, emails, or URLs that resolve to scam infrastructure (we screen against industry block-lists).
Reviews
Reviews come from real visitors. We don’t accept paid review promotion or review-gating (asking only happy customers to review).
Reviews are removed when:
- The reviewer obviously did not visit the business.
- The review is a personal attack on staff (vs the business).
- The review contains private information about the business owner or staff.
- The review is part of a coordinated brigade (multiple reviews from connected accounts).
Reviews are not removed because they’re negative or because the business disputes them. A right-of-reply allows owners to publicly respond to any review on their listing.
Lead capture
Visitor messages routed to your inbox are real lead inquiries. Treat the contact info confidentially: don’t add visitors to unrelated marketing lists, don’t share their info with third parties, don’t use it to spam them.
AI chat (Advanced tier)
Your AI concierge speaks for your business. You may not configure it to:
- Make factual claims you don’t back up offline (false pricing, false hours, etc.).
- Disparage competitors by name.
- Imply medical, legal, or financial advice your underlying business isn’t licensed to provide.
- Collect personal information beyond what the visitor volunteers in conversation.
Reporting violations
Email abuse@nucleardirectories.com with the listing URL and a description of the issue. We review within 24 hours.
